The Most Evil Disney Villain Ever?

The following contains spoilers. I can't tell you what because that would ruin the twist ending of this blog, but I'm guessing you already have seen this Disney movie. Reader discretion advised.

If it's not a good game or catholic...who do you call?...why Pokematic "hi."

Well, I have found the most evil Disney villain ever. I'm going to list off what makes her a villain and see if you catch it. And by the end of this post, I will tell you and you can see if you guessed right.

OK so first off she's a queen. There are a lot of evil queens in Disney movies, that is if they live past the opening act. There have been some good (or at least not evil) queens, but they died in the opening act. The only queen that comes to mind that wasn't evil was Sleeping Beauty's mom. But being a queen doesn't automatically make you evil.

Well, the next thing is she has magical powers. Now I don't know about you, but most magical women in Disney movies are evil. Magical men can be either good or evil, but the only good magical women I know of are fairy god mothers, and this villain is no fairy god mother. Things get a little more lenient when it's a world of magical people, but that's not the case. She's pretty much the only person with magical powers in the entire movie, and that doesn't go well in Disney movies.

She also has 1 song, her villain solo song. The main character gets many songs, some solos, some duets (or more). The villain gets 1 song, and it's almost always a solo. Sure, you have Hakuna Matata, but that's a duet, and therefor not a villain song. But then you have Be Prepared, Scar's solo. At most the villains get a little back-up singing, or sing a little with the main character, but they only get 1 song all their own, and it's a solo.

She also uses her powers to make a magical henchman from basically nothing, just some elemental stuff. Now I'm not super familiar with Disney villains making magical henchmen. I think the demon guy in the Black Cauldron did that. It's not very common, but I've NEVER seen someone who's good make magical henchmen from elemental stuff.

OK, well maybe she's different. I mean, you have to do actual evil deeds to be evil, at least in Disney movies (original fairy tails are a different story). Well lets look at some of her crimes.

First off, she tortured the main character throughout the main character's childhood. I mean absolute psychological torture. She messed the main character up BAD. The main character sings a very depressing song about how much the villain ruined her child hood.

OK, that's pretty bad, but what more is there? Well, there's also the fact that she destroyed her kingdom just for fun with her powers. Her magic was building up, and she is like "man I need to let off some steam," *bam* *bam* *bam* "ahhh that's much better." She even sings a song about it, her single villain song sung solo.

But she didn't really realize that she was killing her kingdom. Ignorance, right? Well, when it was brought to her attention that she was killing the kingdom, she basically said "whatever, they can die for all I care. It's all about me now."

OK, she's quite terrible, but it gets worse. She almost kills the main character, TWICE. Yeah, very evil villains do bad things, and maybe they make an attempt on the main character's life once, but rarely do they try more than once, because their one try is at the climax. She almost kills the main character in the beginning and middle, which results in a chain reaction that succeeds for a short period of time. The main character would be classified as legally dead, but comes back through true love like every Disney movie where the main character is legally dead.

Wow, I bet you're hating her pretty bad right about now, but it gets worse, oh so much worse, because this stems to what she has done in the real world. Yeah, she has done terrible things in the real world. What has she done? The most heinous thing ever, overshadowing the main character in the eyes of little girls. Yeah, girls love Disney princesses, they always have. But this villain has tricked little girls into thinking that she is the one to be loved. The little girls want to meet her, be her, and ignore the main character, the actual Disney princess.

Wow, that's terrible, absolutely terrible. But it gets worse, oh so much worse. She made her henchman more popular than the main character. All the merchandise is the villain and her henchman, and maybe the main character. Everyone loves the villain and her crony, no one loves the main character.

So, who is this villain? She must be really evil, but you can't figure out who it is. Well, sit down, because I'm about to blow your mind.

THE MOST EVIL DISNEY VILLAIN IS...

DRUM ROLL PLEASE...

Elsa from Frozen. Yeah, that's right, Elsa is a villain.

"WHAT!!!! But...but she's a Disney princess. She's the oldest sister in the Frozen movie, a cute little movie about sisterhood between princesses. The duke and Hans are the villains."

While the part about sisterhood and the Duke and Hans part is true, consider the following.

Elsa is a queen. They had the coronation and she went through with the ceremony, and everything was official. She is the queen of Arendelle.

She also has magical powers, which everyone knows with the freezing and ice and all, but magical powers none the less.

Look at her songs. All she sings is Let it Go. When she sings her little bit in "For the first time in forever," it's just a clip from Let it Go. When she sings the repaise in for the first time in forever, it's still just let it go. All she has it let it go. It's her "unfortunate souls," and "be prepared."

She made a henchman, Olaf, and the snow giant. She made them out of snow. When the fairy god mother in Cinderella made the carriage, it was out of organic matter like vegetables and mice. When the evil king made his army in The Black Cauldron, it was out of inorganic goop. Olaf and the snow giant are made of snow, inorganic matter.

She tortured Anna throughout their childhood. Even though her parents made her, she still chose to torture Anna by ignoring her. Sure, it might have been for Anna's own good with the frozen head and all (which I will get to later), but Anna still sings "do you wanna build a snowman," a song about how Elsa is torturing her by ignoring her.

Now lets talk about let it go some more. What does Elsa do during Let it Go? She freezes the kingdom. She says "I have all this energy, I just need to let it go," and "the cold never bothered me anyway." In doing so, she basically destroys the kingdom, blissfully unaware of what she did.

Well, then there's when Anna tells her that Arendelle is in trouble, and only she can fix it. Well, she says "I can't fix it, I won't even try to fix it, so leave me alone." She does, watch the movie. That is the tone of the reprise of for the first time in forever. She even summons an ice giant to throw them out. Which brings me to my next point.

She nearly kills the main once and succeeds in killing her on the second try. Sure they were accidents, but she blasts Anna in the head with her ice beam, and nearly kills her in the opening. Then halfway through the film she blasts her in the heart with her ice beam and that slowly kills her until she is completely frozen. Completely frozen is legally dead in that universe. It's just like the apple in snow white. Anna was legally dead. Sure, true love of sisters brought her back, but she was dead.

And now, look at all the Frozen stuff. How many Elsa costumes did you see VS how many Anna costumes did you see? How many Elsa dolls did you see VS how many Anna dolls. Elsa was always on the plate doing her signature ice pose, where Anna was nowhere to be found. Elsa came stand alone, Anna was almost always bundled with Elsa, because no one wanted just Anna. Even if Anna was alone, the packaging always had Elsa on it so people knew it was that "Elsa movie."

Then there's Olaf's popularity. Olaf was the second most popular toy. I personally saw Olaf stuffed animals everywhere, and they outnumbered Anna toys. Everyone loved that adorable little snowman, but who cares about Anna? She's just the main character is all. She only has the most screen time,  the most songs, saves the kingdom through her sacrifice (Elsa would have let it stay frozen if Anna didn't save her), and is the sole reason that the movie could even happen. Yeah, lets just put her in the shadows.

Don't believe me, go rewatch Frozen and forget for a moment that she has a pretty blue dress and a catchy song and pay attention to her actions and motivations. I don't hate Frozen, I think it's an amazing movie from the minds of Walt Disney Animation Studios, and I would have bought a blu-ray player to watch Frozen in HD if I didn't already buy one to watch Wreck-it Ralph in HD, but I'm SICK of people mistaking Elsa for a Disney princess. Anna is the princess and main character from Frozen, not Elsa. Well, this has been Pokematic, signing off, and bu-bye.
